Service charges

A service charge is a payment made by a leaseholder towards the cost of providing and maintaining services.

Services may include:

  • Heating
  • Lighting
  • Cleaning of communal areas
  • Security
  • Landscaping
  • Maintenance contracts

Service charges may be fixed or variable, depending on conditions of the lease. The service charge is set every year and leaseholders are advised of what the charge will be for the forthcoming year in the projected service charge statement.

The Service Charge Handbook gives an overview of your service charges.

Please check your lease or read the full Guide to Your Lease for further information.

Our Service Charge leaflet tells you how we calculate charges and what to do if you are unhappy with the charge or the service, please click here to read the leaflet.

You can pay your service charge by setting up a Direct Debit.
