Tommy McIlravey

Tommy works as Chief Executive Officer of Sahir House, a charity working in the field of HIV and sexual health in Merseyside and North Cheshire. He has 18 years’ experience at board level of a number of other charities and public bodies with a local, regional and national focus. This currently includes a role as a Lay Trustee for the Royal College of Pathologists. He is also an experienced trainer and third sector management consultant, advising organisations around diverse issues, such as: strategy, governance, marketing and fundraising.

He is particularly interested in making services more accessible to people from excluded communities. Specifically, Tommy has championed charities and community groups supporting: people seeking asylum in the UK; disabled people; lesbian, gay bisexual and trans (LGBT) people; and people living with severe mental health issues. In 2009 he founded the Liverpool Pride charity, which celebrates LGBT culture in the city.
